Two Silas/Aringarosa drabbles!

Here are a couple of Silas/Aringarosa drabbles I did recently.

Title: Brighter than Blood
Author: Angelica Albina
Fandom: The Da Vinci Code
Pairing: Aringarosa/Silas
Summary: A moment of forbidden tenderness and beauty
Warnings: Slash (implied), religious imagery, mentions of flagellation and corporal mortification
Rating: PG-13/mild R
Words: 210
Disclaimer: Don’t own anything here, no profit, suing is futile!
A/N: This fic may contain spoilers for both book and movie. And in all fanfics written by me, Silas will have blue eyes, as in the movie, rather than red ones as in the book – real people with albinism do not tend to have red eyes.

The domestic staff had been given the evening off, for Silas himself would be preparing supper for Bishop Aringarosa that night. He would create a simple but delicious French chicken dish, and a delicate dessert of cherries in pastry that his own mother had made for him as a child. Mentor and protégé would spend some precious time together, talking of God and The Way and giving thanks for having been brought together.

Brighter than blood, scarlet drops of cherry juice left stains on Silas’s strong, pale hands; his graceful fingers were vivid with warm redness. Bishop Aringarosa, standing in the kitchen doorway and watching Silas work, barely suppressed a gasp at the exquisite contrast. With infinite tenderness, the Bishop took a damp cloth and gently cleansed the monk’s white hands.

Red streaks left by the Discipline made the Bishop’s back ache as he knelt on his bedroom floor some hours later, praying over and over again that God would forgive him for his sinful thoughts about the monk. Bright bloody droplets stained the alabaster thigh of Silas as his cilice tightened; the monk struggled to banish images from his mind of the Bishop cleansing cherry droplets from Silas’s hands, not with a cloth this time, but with his tongue.

Silas knelt, the lashes stinging his back viciously. He was bleeding, and his eyes were damp with barely restrained tears. Sweat dampened the albino’s powerful body, yet he kept his back straight, surrendering himself completely to the man who was so severely chastising him.

“Pain is good,” he thought to himself silently as the barbs of the cilice pierced his pale thigh, and he struggled to suppress the arousal that ached unbearably and made him blush with shame.

Finally the flogging ceased, and Silas’s mentor was on his knees in front of him, dabbing the perspiration and tears from the albino’s face and placing a kiss on his brow.

“Dear child, you are becoming so much stronger,” Aringarosa whispered. “You will be able to do this for yourself soon – you will be a soldier of God, defender of The Way.”
